The 8017Z Data Acquisition Module is a high resolution, 16-Bit, RS-485 data acquisition device. It accepts up to 20 Single-Ended or 10 Differential mV, V & mA inputs. Two different sampling modes are provided - normal and fast. Normal mode gives a high 16-bit resolution with a sampling rate of 10 samples/second. When in fast mode, the 8017Z can sample up to 60 times/second with a 12-bit resolution. The 8017Z also boasts a high ESD Protection (4 KV Contact for each Terminal, 8 KV Air for Random Point), along with over-voltage protection and intra-module isolation of 3000 VDC. When ordered as a 8017Z, it is used in a 8000 Series System along with a 8520 converter module so that it can be controlled by a PC via a standard serial port. Because of the unique ASIC included on the 8520 the 8017Z can be used in a network of up to 2,048 8000 Series modules operating at different baud rates and with different data formats. |
